The show follows the lives of three gay couples —the titular Rick and Steve, Chuck and Evan, and Dana and Kirsten—as they live in the fictional gay ghetto of West Lahunga Beach and interact with their friends and family.

Welcome to the gayest of gay ghettoes, West Lahunga Beach, where Rick and Steve make their fabulously decorated double-income-no-kids home. That is until Rick’s lifelong lesbian friend Kirsten asks him to be the father of her child.
